Rescue Ink

Hi Everybuddy -

I have some gentlemen I'd like to introduce to you:

Batso - a 74 year young gentleman who sports some very elaborate tattoos from some of the most talented and well respected tattoo artists in the country. He is also an accomplished martial artist and holds the Connecticut state record in power lifting.

Johhny O - a former personal bodyguard for many high profile celebrities and public officials. Also an accomplished martial artist.

Mike Tattoo - a former bodybuilding champion covered in tattoos, fitness professional, and is also known as "Max Sands" from the HBO series "Oz".

Big Ant - 6'1" and 320 pounds of power. He loves Harleys and hot rods and looks like he could snap someone in two.

George - a professional industrial firefighter who has never turned away any challenge and loves riding his very fast bike.

Sal - a tough guy from Brooklyn who works in the high rise construction business. No fear there!

Biagi - likes working on bikes and cars and is a retired boiler mechanic.

Angel - a retired detective from the NYPD who grew up in the Harlem projects.

Des - born in Columbia, South America, he grew up in the tough side of Queens, NY and has never been anyone's victim.

Ron - Grand Master of Combat Hapkido and was trained in Special Forces.

These are the members of Rescue Ink -

They look as intimidating as they sound! These men have been rescuing animals since they were young boys and eventually came together to form their own rescue. They have an "in your face" style and their specialty? Animal abusers. Each of them found the growing problem of animal neglect and abuse so unacceptable that they had to do something about it. They appreciate the work done by shelters but realize they're so overwhelmed with the volume of problems that sadly, many animals fall between the cracks. That's where Rescue Ink comes in. When they are made aware of any animal in need, they don't hesitate to address it. The group has a zero tolerance when it comes to abuse and neglect and they have been known to be very persuasive in talking neglectful owners to turn the animals over so that it can receive any care it may require immediately. They do stress however that their methods never go beyond the element of the law. Rescue Ink is growing on a daily basis. They spend their time focusing on educating our young people on how to be compassionate and caring towards animals. They go into the toughest neighborhoods and help familes care for their pets properly, helping them to get any appropriate assistance that might be available. They encourage anyone, anywhere to contact them regarding any animal in need. If they cannot physically get to that animal immediately they call upon their volunteers nationwide as well as many other rescues who work closely with them. The group also has My Space which you can see here.

We are SO impressed with this group of guys and can't thank them enough for having the compassion and courage to address issues that many other groups avoid. For this - we give them two big paws up! Way to go guys!

Wow. That's really fantastic. I think they'd make a great premise for a new t.v. drama, too: kind of a sopranos-meets-cops-meets-hallmark special/national geographic series. I love it!
