Fishing Season

Hi Everybuddy -

I'll bet you didn't know that today is the opening day of Trout Fishing Season in Pennsylvania. That's right! Trout sure is yummy - almost as good as salmon. Dad has a pretty large fish tank in the family room and this got me thinking.........I could go fishing! I decided to take a look:

"Woo! There's all kinds of fish in there!"

"That looks like a tasty one! I'll need some help."

"This net should do it!"

Okay, so Dad caught me. Apparently he didn't think it was a good idea for me to go fishing. He's a spoilsport.

"It was for Meeka - really!"

Mom saved the day. In honor of Trout Season we had Merrick's Campfire Trout Feast for dinner and oh was it great! You really should try it sometime.

Until then - happy fishing!

Little Miss Big Britches

Hi Everybuddy - Today I will share with you video footage of me, outside, trying to get some rest and relaxation. Yeah right! Take a look at the resident redhead! You can tell somebuddy has energy to burn now that she has almost doubled her body weight. Mom calls her "Little Miss Big Britches" and "Stinker Bell". Take a look:

See what I mean?! Just how's a guy 'sposed to get some rest around here? You can see just how much help Meeka is. He stands there and barks. I get no sympathy which is just plain wrong. Mom keeps mentioning how I used to terrorize Meeka and Shadow. I certainly don't remember that. I think Mom has me confused with somebuddy else. Thank Dog it's Friday! Maybe I can get some R & R this weekend. ::sigh::

Pizza Prison

Hi Everybuddy -

Last night was pizza night. We love pizza night because it never fails that someone ends up distracted, leaves the box on the counter, and well.........you know the rest. Mmmmm! Unfortunately it looks like Mom is finally catching on. Look:

She put the pizza in prison! I'm not sure there's anything I can do about this. I need to get a closer look:

Who knew Mom would get smart? That's okay though because I have a plan. My buddy Peanut knows how to open the oven. He has even provided an instruction video for me to study. Check it out here.

"Plan B is coming Mom!"

Mom really should know better than to try to outsmart me. Next pizza night will be a yummy one!

It's Coming!

Hi Everybuddy -

Oh I'm SO excited! It finally happened........my wish has come true! Look:

Ever since my good friend Sitka blogged about the yummy frozen treats she gets at Sonic, I've crossed my paws and wished real hard for a Sonic here. I had Mom check their website and learned that there were only 4 Sonic restaurants in the entire state of Pennsylvania. Mom emailed them to ask if they'd consider a restaurant in our area. We never heard back so we just kept wishing and hoping. Well guess what??! IT'S COMING! It'll be just down the road a few miles, with 25 drive-in stalls, an outdoor patio ( for Siberian Huskies!), and a drive thru window. They will hire over 100 employees......woo! I'm thinking I might apply. I'm very good at pre-rinsing dishes here at home. I would even say I'm a professional. I am a working dog after all. I'll have to discuss this with Mom.

"Super Sonic Bacon Cheeseburger, Peanut Butter Cup Sonic Blast, Bananananana Shake, Grilled Chicken Sandwich....oohhhhhh!"

Easter Bunny Debacle

Uh oh! We may have a slight problem. Look:

Easter basket + grass + eggs = Easter Bunny. But......where'd he go?? I decided I'd better investigate.

"Open up Meeka! Nope - I don't see any sign of the Easter Bunny in there."

"Nope - No Easter Bunny there either."

"Wasn't me!!"

Woo! Could this be the last thing Easter Bunny saw?? :

We decided to stand watch to see if he would appear:

I dunno what happend to the cotton tailed critter! If anybuddy sees him, tell him we have his basket.

You Want Me To Do What??

Hi Everybuddy -

Today I learned that St. Patrick's Day is coming soon - on Monday to be exact. And how do I know this? Take a look:

"Oh.....what's this??"

"Excuse me? You want me to do what???!"

I'm sure by now you're reading between the lines here. Dad actually thought I was going to wear those glasses! After the first several attempts he explained that surely I could find it my heart to cooperate just a little bit. Mom went to work today and apparently assigned him the task of getting a picture of me wearing these ridiculous glasses. Should I take pity on him and give him what he wants so he goes away? Here's how it went:

So you get the picture. Note how we turned our backs to him? We figured he'd get the message that we weren't interested but he didn't give up. I eventually felt sorry for him and decided to cut him a break.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

Uh oh!

Hi Everybuddy -

I have to share a video we found. I sure hope Mom doesn't see this. It won't be good if she does. It'll only encourage her and make her think we are "trainable". We've worked so hard to prove otherwise! Somebuddy needs to talk to this Siberian!

Greyhound to Kansas

Hi Everybuddy -

I'm very excited! Today I got a very special invitation. I was invited to go to the AO4's house for their Mom's Bananananana Cake! WOO! How could I possibly refuse an invitation like that?? I had to get to work on a plan to get to Kansas FAST! Well, Greyhounds are fast right? I'm thinking a Greyhound Bus might be a good solution. I need the phone number:

"Woo! This is a BIG book!"

"Let's see here........."

"B.....U......S"

"AHA! There it is! Greyhound Bus Terminal"

"Hello - Could you tell me when the next

bus to Kansas is? HUH? Next Friday?? That

simply won't do! My AO4 buddies have a piece

of banananana cake for me and I need to.....HELLO???"

"Where'd the lady go? I think she hung up on me!"

Well that was very rude! I think I'm going to have to think of Plan B. Woo.

National Cereal Day

Hi Everybuddy -

Did you know that Friday was an important day? It was National Cereal Day, named in honor of Dr. Kellogg's invention of Corn Flakes in 1897. Dr. John Harvey Kellogg was the Superintendent of a sanitarium in Battle Creek, Michigan. The idea for corn flakes began quite by accident when Dr. Kellogg and his brother left some uncooked wheat sitting while they attending some urgent matters at the sanitarium. When they returned they discovered the stale flakes and tasted them. With some experimentation and toasting they invented what we know today as Kellogg's Corn Flakes. This is a lesson that should be acknowledged - some of the best things in life are discovered quite by accident. That's where the Siberian spirit of adventure comes into play. Mom should learn to embrace that and appreciate our ways of thinking.
We decided in honor of National Cereal Day we would present to the good folks at Kellogg's our version of Rice Krispies. What do you all think?

We pitched it and are waiting to hear when production will be launched. Watch for us in your local stores!
Happy Cereal Day!

Made Of Money

Hi Everybuddy -

I found a very cool thing the other day - pups made out of money. Can you imagine?! Now, I've heard Mom say many times (mostly to the young bipeds in the house) "Do you think I'm made of money??!". Well who knew there are things really made of money? Look at the cute pups I found:

This next one reminds me of my adorable little blogger friend - Lorenza. Did you pose for this one Lorenza?

All of this clever folding has inspired me. I asked Mom for some money to practice with but all she was willing to donate was a piece of paper from her printer. I don't think she's being very supportive of my artistic endeavors.

"Opposable thumbs would really be helpful!"

All things considered I don't think this is too bad for my first attempt:

You can see all the other wonderful oragami creations on this website. Happy folding!
