Pink Moose

Hi Everybuddy -

Shyla made an interesting observation today. She said we have a pink moose. What??!! Did I hear that right??

"I saw it! It's in the kitchen!"

I decided I'd better check this out. I asked Shadow if she had seen anything unusual:

"Oh yeah - it went that-a-way"

This is very strange. I thought I'd try Meeka. He knows everything:

"Haven't seen it. Lemme look outside"

Let's make sure we're all on the same page here. This is a moose:

They are very, very large. I don't know how it could even fit through the front door! And I haven't seen any of these anywhere either:

Maybe Shyla meant to say pink MOUSE. Wouldn't this be more likely? :

Or maybe even this:

And I know these exist:

But a pink MOOSE? I figured it was time to ask Mom. She knows everything about everything (most of the time). Guess what? There IS a moose in the kitchen! LOOK:

"It's STRAWBERRY MOUSSE!!"

Haroorroooorrooo! They almost had me on that one!

"Those silly pups!!"

STAWBERRY MOUSSE

1 8 oz pkg. of Cream Cheese (Fat Free or regular)

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup boiling water

1 4 oz pkg. of strawberry jello (sugar free or regular)

1/2 cup cold water

2 cups Cool Whip (sugar free or regular) thawed

2 cups sliced strawberries

Beat cream cheese and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on low speed until well blended. Set aside. Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in small bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add cold water; stir until slightly thickened. Gradually add to cream cheese mixture, beating after each addition until well blended. Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups of the whipped topping and the strawberries.

Spoon evenly into 10 small dessert dishes. Chill at least 1 hour or until firm. Top each with dollop of remaining whipped topping just before serving.
