Website Wednesday

Hi Everybuddy -
Let me just go on record by saying......."I HATE HEATWAVES!". This is day three in Pennsylvania. The temperature has been over 90 with the heat index exceeding 100. That's just wrong! No self respecting Siberian would subject himself to that. This poses numerous problems for our household. Apparently Meeka does not have his inner Siberian temperature regulator on the right setting. The big dummy (don't let his royal highness know I said that please!) goes outside in the middle of a sunny patch, lies down, and takes a nap! Now, Meeka doesn't like to be told (or asked) to move so this becomes a problem for Mom. Eventually she does manage to get him back indoors so that he doesn't melt into a puddle of Siberian goo. Another problem is that we like to play outside. But not when it's 2 million degrees out. So that means we play inside. I don't know why but Mom just doesn't appreciate that. She needs to get over it. What's a few toppling lamps and misplaced sofa cushions? We are WORKING dogs after all! For the most part we find ways to keep cool. We all know where the coolest places of the house are and can usually be found napping there. I have a good buddy named Kosmos (he lives with Lucy who taught me all about cake. See her in the background?) who found a very clever way to stay cool. I have to hand it to him......this was pretty ingenious! He wanted to make sure he had the coolest spot in the house so he took the vent with him! See:

Now that's pretty darned smart! This gives a whole new meaning to "coolness to go".

All this talk about coolness brings me to our website for today. I'm thinking it's time we took matters into our own hands. If we can't make Mother Nature bring us snow, we'll do it ourselves! What better way than a snow machine? Makes perfect sense to me! I figure that we can maybe ask for a group discount if we order more than one. Just imagine.....looking out your window and seeing a gigantic pile of cold, white SNOW!

Remember this? Oh the joy of it!

Sounds like a plan to me so grab Mom's plastic card and get your orders in today!

Yes, A great idea. Snow machines for all huskies. My Missy does the same thing, lay out in the middle of the yard in the sun and does not listen either to come in. What's with them?
I've got mom's plastic, so let me know on the snow machine.

Can we get together and do a bulk order for snow machines? I like to claw the door after like 10 seconds for the humans to let me back inside. My human keeps telling me she thinks I am part camel. The insult!!!

I love the idea of the snow machine! We don't get snow in TX even in the winter, so that would let us have year round snow! I'm all for that.

And since we've got no place to go .... LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOOOOOOOOWWWWW!
This is so cool. I've got to get one!
Our great sister Jesse used to do that with the vent! We never knew that, but Mom just told us. It made her smile. Woo.
Hey Echo! Me and Zimmie are giving you an award! Stop by our blog!
Luv,
Dave

Echo, I agree. I live in Pennsylvania too, and this heat is gross. I want a snow machine too.
I miss running in the yard in the snow. Once the stupid hot weather goes away, all us huskies in PA will have to meet at the dog park!

I once pulled the vent out of the floor. Never did it again! I just lay near the vents, not on them, ha rooo!

Oh man, that's exactly what we need right now here in Nebraska too! We have been having those same kind of temps here too. Mom yells at me and Abby when we go outside to lay in the sun for a while too. She tells us to get inside cuz we're baking!! I think it just makes us feel better then when we come back into the nice cool house!

Those snow things aren't really that expensive either. Maybe we can take up collections!

Snow machine-Cooool! Though, I do like to sunbathe outside on my landing in our run. I gotta get some peace at times from Juneau! Mommy comes out to get me to come in where it is air conditioned cuz she doesn't want me to get sick from the heat. Can't wait til it snows again! Can I put in my order? (Even though Mommy hates very cold & snow.) We're Huskies & can handle it! Thanx for my birfday wishes, Echo.
