Hi Everybuddy -
Today I'm going to talk about Meeka. Meeka is the Prince of the house. He wasn't always considered a royal dog. When he first came to live here, Mom said he was a real handful! Almost bordering on brat-like. He was a typical 8 month old male Siberian who really hadn't been taught any manners. He used to run behind the boy of the house and nip him in the seat of the pants. Mom said he was "very mouthy" but eventually understood that it wasn't very polite. As we added to our pack it was clear that Meeka was alpha as he still is today. Meeka is also very photogenic and loves to pose for anyone who happens to be holding a camera. This is ANNOYING! But it goes along with his Prince-like behavior I guess. Mom says because Meeka is top banana (I prefer to compare him to a fruit rather than a royal....HAROOO!) he's entitled to some perks. Every night he's allowed up in Mom and Dad's room which is fine with the rest of us. I'm very fond of my crate and am quite content being there to sleep. Last night Meeka made it upstairs before Mom and this is what she found:
Now does that look like a picture of perfect contentment or what?! He just made himself right at home. She said she thinks if he could have figured out how to use the remote, he would have been watching tv.
Here he is watching the news:
Despite his royalty, we still like him. Our pack wouldn't be the same without him, and don't tell him, but he's my bestest bud in the entire kingdom.

Looks like Meeka got the best spot in the house - he's very regal looking.

Sitka
Looks comfy! I am infiltrating your group - you don't eat little weiner dogs, do you? Visit me sometime - Luv, Bailey
King Meeka you should get together with me sometime, Queen Kelsey
Hail to the Prince! He looks so contented on his royal bed. We like that he's a "butt munch" too. Our General used to do that to keep his human pack together.
That is one of Samuel's most favorite places to sleep too. I have my own mattress in the basement, where it's nice and cool, so I like to sleep there. Plus, there are no humans to share the bed with!

A04 - Oh yes. It's a waterbed and he really likes that.
Thrawn - Shhh! Don't tell him he's regal!
Sitka - Mom and Dad's bed is a bit of a hodge podge of patterns. Mom laughs when she sees pictures of lovely beds in magazines. She doesn't think that'll ever work for her. I dunno why.
Bailey - Harooo! A new friend! Welcome! And no....we won't eat you. We'll be sure to visit you and add you to our favorite blog list.
Kelsey - Do you have a waterbed throne too?
G&S - Nothin like a good tail tug to get things started!
Holly - Funny thing is that Meeka will come downstairs and get into his crate after awhile. He just likes to watch the news up there.
