How much??

Hi Everybuddy -

This morning the annual report of the grand total cost of the 12 Days Of Christmas was released. For a brief history of how the beloved Christmas poem came to be, click here. It has become customary for various groups to calculate just how much it would cost to present a loved one with the gifts of the 12 Days of Christmas each year. This year's price tag is $86,609.00. You can catch Shyla's reaction here:

"HOW MUCH???"

Take a look:

Can you believe it? I think I'd be willing to do without the 5 Golden Rings this year but we have to have the Partridge In A Pear tree, not to mention the Swans. A guy's gotta have some fun after all.

"Seven swans please!"

"Swans? We're getting swans??!"

"Leaping Lords might be nice"

Seven Swans sounds swell. You could definitely have a house full of feathers with calling birds, french hens and turtle doves. I bet your jumps are just like flying.

Happy Days.

Our Mom saw that story in the paper today. The three French hens were cheaper this year than last - wonder why? We'll try some hens, some swans, and that partridge - and the squirrels if The Thundering Herd finds them.

I wonder if swans taste like chicken. Or maybe turkey. Yum!

Yeah, we like the shimmering squirrels. We could replace those pipers with squawking seagulls too!

Wow! Mom is afraid of swans. She says they really aren't worth as much as everything thinks they should be. One chased her once a very long time ago and she's never forgotten it.

That is a LOT of money! Your pup has it right- why go through all of that when you can do other things. :)

Hee hee hee! I like Shyla's reaction!
Zim wants the babes a-dancing. I tried telling him there weren't babes in the song, but he just said "ha roo!" Sigh.
