Bag That!

Hi Everybuddy -

Have you heard? In an attempt to "go green", many stores in our country are banning the plastic shopping bags. These innocent bags may soon be a thing of the past.

To some this may not seem like a big deal. In fact many may see it as a positive step to reduce landfill waste and all that. The only problem is...........we have our own landfill and the plastic grocery bags are a key part of the solution! We're worried!

"Woo!"

Meeka brought up a very good point. He's worried that will mean we will be asked to reduce our "output" - if you know what I mean. Good point Meeka! I think the time has come to send your Moms to the local pet food and treat store NOW! They need to buy everything on the shelves so that they will be placed in plastic shopping bags. We need to start stockpiling these bags before the delicate balance of poo disposal is interrupted. Woo!

Oh no! We use them for "business" clean up too. What will we put the cat litter box droppings in if there's no more plastic bags. We'd better come up with a backup plan soon. Thanks for the warning Echo

The human woman screeches: Those that don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Back when she was young human woman, there was outcry from the masses that paper bags meant cutting down trees and that was bad, so everyone went to plastic and danced with joy that trees were being saved... here we go again.

Question: if plastic grocery bags clog the landfills, what about the humungous plastic garbage bags? eh?

This is an outrage! Between the four of us, we make very good use of those bags!
Maybe we'll all have to learn to use the indoor facilities. ???

You'll have to throw your poop over the fence. Or dig a lot of holes. Our poop always gets recycled into the holes I dig.

We use the newspaper sleeves too and empty bread bags. When we run out of those, we use the grocery bags too - whatever will we do? Guess we will have to get Thunder busy digging holes again - hehehehe.

I have a big stock pile that I cn share. Momma started with the roll of special bags because it was more discreet. Yeah, like neon blue bags are subtle.

Good points for sure. We also agree with Op pack. Mom has her friends save the newspaper bags. She's soooooooo cheap! We are particularly fond of the stocking up on groceries angle. How did that suggestion go over at your house. We're not having any luck over here.

Yeah, I guess reusable canvas bags don't work so well with poo, do they?

oh no! we need our poo bags! what's a pup to do? We will not resort to a litter box!

Jans Funny Farm said...

Oh, no! We can't have this happen. Go door to door and take up a poo bag collection. Rent a storage locker and fill it with poo bags. Don't dally. Time's a wasting.

wow...using brown paper lunch bag certainly won't do especially if any dog here is like my sister Kiley and her stinkies. woo.

In our area of Virginia, we're not required to recycle anything including cans and bottles! So we'll stockpile all the bags we can and send them to you instead of taking them to the dog park.
