Siberian Mars Mission

Hi Everybuddy -

I'm sure everybuddy has heard all about the exciting mission to Mars that NASA has launched. The Phoenix is now on Mars and is sending back interesting pictures which will tell us all about this mysterious planet. You can read all about it here. When I heard what the Phoenix is doing right now it got me thinking. Apparently our scientists want to know what's buried deep within Mars. This requires something that we Siberians are very good at......digging! I think we could have saved NASA a whole pile of money if they sent us up there to do the job instead. All we'd really require was some Canidae and some yummy snacks - to keep our energy up of course. I hear it's pretty cold up there which beats the hot humid weather we have here at home right now. I'm thinking it might even snow up there! I'm sure Mom would lend me her camera so that we could take lots of pictures for the scientists. And I'd kind of like to talk to these fellas:

Obviously it's too late for this mission but we need to pitch our proposal for the next one. Anyone who's interested should let me know. We'll need to borrow somebuddy's GPS device so that we don't take any wrong turns. I heard my blogger friends Steve & Kat have flown already so maybe they will consider being our flight corrdinators. Woo - I have alot of planning to do!

Oh, yeah, Echo. I think I might be pretty well-suited to join your mission to Mars. Mom's always calling me a "little space cadet", so count me in!

Great post! Here at our house, we find it particularly amusing that the BEAGLE went missing when it landed on Mars. We think it's probably out there barking at martians or sniffing some crater.

Sky? Lola says after seeing the A04 skies, she's out. We love the idea though. Rosemary wants to be in mission control.

Do those Martians taste like M&M's?

Those little aliens do look cute. I am not sure how I'd feel about flying though. It might be too noisy for me.

Hi Echo,

Thanks for stopping by. Your are right, in the right home a blind dog does just fine. I don't know if you read & saw the picture on our blog about our blind little boy Bennington that was adopted several weeks ago & he is doing great. That's what rescue is all about!!

Love ya...Mona
