Sneaky Spring

Hi Everybuddy -

Today is a ho-hum kind of day. They're telling us we're going to see some snow tonight but not the real snow we've been wishing for. We've pretty much given up on that. All we keep getting is enough to last a couple hours then it melts and makes mushy mud which makes Mom grumpy. So we officially GIVE UP! Yep - it's true. We're surrendering to Mother Nature. We're waving the white flag. We're declaring an official truce. Shortly after we came to that revelation guess what we saw? Look:

Spring seems to have been sneaking in when we weren't looking!
We've fought the battle and lost but that's okay. Spring isn't all bad. Green grass, fireflies, singing birds, rearranging Mom's flowers.......fun things like that.

Mom was even more encouraged when she found her spring flowers starting to peep through the ground in the front garden.

So, in honor of this noteworthy day of mine, I'm taking my last winter nap of the season.

Hope everybuddy has a great weekend!

My mom doesn't like spring much because her allergies get bad. Mine too, I've had itchy eyes and a runny nose. That birdie looks yummy though!

PS: I LOVE the idea of the kiddie-sized Crocs! I hope my mom will get some for me !

Echo, I'll give you our 8 inches of snow if you give me your spring. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

Mom's spring flowers aren't coming up. She's pretty sure she killed them. The weatherman said it's supposed to be in the 70's here tomorrow with a chance of snow. How does that work?

I'm sorry about the snow. On the other hand, you could eat all your mom's flowers.

Our snow is all gone now too. It was in the low 60's today. I miss winter already!

Yes Spring is trying to appear here in Texas also. The Bradford Pear trees all seem to have white blossoms on them today. Of course it was like 80 degrees on Friday. Many of the wild flowers are showing up at the lake also. Oh and don't forget the birds are coming back..

Oh, hooray: a robin! Ari was born in late November, and they were the first wild animal she ever saw. They'll always have a particularly meaningful resonance for us. Happy Spring!

My Dad would like to come live with you! He is tired of all the snow we've had this winter. Me and Mom really like it though.

That bird looks fun to chase!

You look very comfy on that chair. The pretty things are starting to bloom here too. You'll get to play outside more.
