Let The Games Begin

Hi Everybuddy -

I heard about something pretty interesting today. Did you know there's a new board game that humans can play with dogs? Harooo roo roo! I know what you're thinking. How can that possibly be? This is Funagle:

Funagle is defined as a game to finesse a dog into performing an activity using treats, verbal and gestural communication. Woo! The treat part sounds pretty good and that board looks amazingly like a pizza. I wonder if it's pizza flavored. The part that I find humorous is that the goal is to get "a dog" to "perform an activity". BWWAAAHHHA! Let's be serious folks.....this game was obviously not made with Siberian Huskies in mind! Gestural communication? Would that be the same as Mom flailing her arms wildly when we're barreling through the house with the rugs flying in every direction? I'm suspecting this is not the game for us so I decided to take a look at what games we have in our house. Look what I found:

Now that's more like it! Look out Donald Trump.......here I come!

The question is....what will you do with your millions???

I think my game of choice would be Disney Scene-it.....the little biped watches so many Disney movies, I could puke!

Oh geez, I can't even believe humans made this. They need more to do. :)

Maybe the Sibe version of the game is to eat the pizza-looking board and see what "gestural communication" it elicits in your bipeds. Ha roo roo roo!
Oooh, you look like such a tycoon, Echo!

I think you are right Echo...this game was not designed with Huskies in mind!

I think you're right, that game isn't for huskies. What wrong with a game of "I will pull you down the street"?

Obviously a dog owner did not invent that game! I prefer Monopoly, too. Mom has a Scooby-Doo Monopoly that she is always tying to get people to play with her. She also has Scooby-Doo Clue, Scooby-Doo Chess, Scooby-Doo Memory, Scooby-Doo playing cards and some other Scooby-Doo card game she can't figure out how to play. Byt the way, Mom is a Scooby-Doo freak. She named my sister Sasha-Doo!!

Not sure if we would like that game. Does it have any herding in it. Blue heelers are herders. We could herd some cats..

There was a game a while ago that was something like "my dog can do that" or some such.. it was actually quite fun... things like sit, down, find it, jump, roll over etc.

Hi Echo
I've missed you !!
Sibes and English Setters have one thing in common this is for sure. We hate being obedient unless we feel like it. I run helter skelter through our little house, pull the furniture apart, toss toys in the air, jump over couches, spread slobber and dog hair everywhere. When mum asks me to sit for a treat, I'm too fast, and I jump in the air and take it out of her hand. Hehehe.
To be honest mum doesn't like dog trainers any more than we do.

Those types of games are made for dogs who actualy listen to their humans. Therefore, NOT us northern breeds.

That's the way to go! And when you control the purse strings around there, you can order pizza every day, if you want.

I don't think it's supposed to be for Sibes. If it is, it's for us to sit and watch how funny the humans look trying to get us to do stuff! Ha roo roo roo! But we like Monopoly too. Mama has the Lord of the Rings version!

I love it! I foresee a very spirited dog/human slumber party at my house sometime in the near future.

Very cool looking game! I agree, it will take a lot of attention, but I am up for the challenge. :) We checked out the site and they have the game at one of our favorite dog stores- Fetch. If my human is smart enough to buy it we'll let you know. :)

BTW, if you're going to play monopoly you may want to get the dog version...it is more enticing to the eye. :)
