Paws I've Filled

Hi Everybuddy -

Have any of you noticed the new photos on the right sidebar? That's Merlin! That's who I was named after. For those of you who aren't familiar with the story of how I came to be , Merlin really started it all for my family. He was a Lab/Husky - 95 pounds of personality and a massive stubborn streak. When you saw him outside in the sunlight you could see his beautiful Siberian markings. They endured his antics for many years until they had to say goodbye. Mom said the silence really was deafening when he left. It was a very long time before she could even look at his photos again and his collar and tags sit on a special shelf in her bedroom. She loves all of us very much but I'm "hers" and she quickly recognized that there was something different about me. That's how I became Merlin's Echo. Without even knowing it I seemed to step into his paws. His special place was in the powder room. No other doggy ever willingly went in - except me. She frequently finds me curled up in Merlin's corner. She said Merlin approves of me and I'm very proud of that. I must be doing a good job of wreaking havoc. So take a look, and congratulate Mom for figuring out how to use her new scanner. Technology is a challenge for her sometimes!

What a great story! Mom was so glad she got to see a picture of the famous Merlin. I think husky/lab or huskadors are the bestest dogs in the whole wide world!

Merlin was one handsome pup. We know how it feels to lose a pack member. Dad still gets misty eyed sometimes when he sees pics of my first little sister Tia. She was only 5 years old when she had to go to the Bridge due to cancer. Dad has the feeling that there is a part of Tia in Eva, which makes him smile. Belly Rubs, Tasha.
