Despite a rainy start, the weekend turned out very well. That guy named Jack (a.k.a. Jack Frost) chased summer (summer with a small "s", not Summer with the capital "s") away and now Fall is here for awhile. Our girl decided it was a great time to make some pancakes. Pancakes are one of my favorites so I made myself very available to help out.
"Yep - that's looks to be just about perfect"
Here's a closer look at the work in progress. Doesn't that look yummy??:
Note my strategic positioning so that if she takes a couple steps back she'll trip and I'll have to rescue a flying flapjack. Clever huh? :
"Now just a couple steps back...that's it...."
Here I am teaching Shyla one of my techniques to getting what I want. Cute huh? :
"Please may I have some now?"
My strategy worked! We all enjoyed the fruits of her labor and got some pancake pieces . It's always beneficial when there's a couple that don't come out quite right. Shyla can't have wheat but she was able to enjoy some scrambled eggs. Mmmmm! It was a great day!

GREAT going, Echo! I love how you're doing the froggie doggie pose RIGHT behind your girl! I love to do that, too! And look at how your paws are crossed! That's so helpful - if you did that here, you'd get a million pancakes, I just know it. Our great sister Jesse used to lay like that and any time we accidentally stumble onto that pose, we get lavished with stuff. Note to self: emulate Jesse's poses more often.
Great work - hope you guys enjoyed your pancakes and eggs!

Wow, those pancakes sure look good! I'm glad you got to eat some! And eggs sound good as well. So good for Shyla!

Woo woo, Kelsey Ann
Woo'all have that "lookin cute" thing down to a science, our mama said such cute faces would get anything they want here! (yeah, we pretty much do, that's why Chili's on a diet & Mikki's being threatened with one...it's all those great treats humom's been baking from the HTH recipe book!)
Thanks for the offer to send me a snowball, I'll be waiting by the mailbox!

We love to help when pancakes are being made, too! We love to help when ANYTHING is being made. That is a great strategy to be under foot of the humans as much as possible. That almost guarentees a mishap on the humans part. Nice going teaching Shyla your strategy! The more help the better. Belly Rubs, Tasha & Eva.
Wooo Hoo!!! I love pancakes and I love to help mom make them too! I hope you got some with that yummy syrup!!!
hugs,
Sitka
You lay wif yur back legs out like me, Echo! Pancakes are yummy. I never turn down the offer of a pancake myself when our daddy makes them (he's the pancake expert in our house). He makes one specially for just Juni & me.
