We're baaack....sorta. Mom still has to use the emergency backup computer but it putts along well enough to make a post. She said it's sorta like riding somebuddy else's bike.
Anyroo, I promised to tell you all about Floor Guy that came to visit us on Saturday. He was here a very long time. I know this cause Mom wouldn't let us help and made us stay in our crates. Something about open doors. Harrrmph. She just doesn't trust us. Why would I run out the door if there's work to be done? It worked out okay though because if we started to look forlorn and pathetic (I have a special howl for that), Dad caves and takes us for a walk. FINALLY, Floor Guy was done! He pointed out a special invention just for us. How very thoughtful of him! I was expecting some treats, or maybe even a cake since we had to stay in our crates for so long. He left a speed bump. See:
Floor Guy explained that he didn't want us to step in the sticky stuff he had to put there. I don't see what the big deal is. This new floor could use some strategically placed husky fur to liven it up. Besides, Mom stepped in goo (way ta go Mom!).....why shouldn't we? Dad thought this speed bump was pretty clever and thought maybe it would slow us down a bit. Silly him! Finally Floor Guy left and we could enjoy our new kitchen floor. Mom said to disregard that horribly ugly moulding. Apparently that's next on the hit list since we're all out of our puppy stages - whatever that means. Shyla said that it was quite obvious they chose this floor to enhance her bewootiful coat. Here she is testing it:
"How do I look?"
After all that work, Mom said we're still not done. I sure hope they let us help next time. Things would go alot faster. In the meantime I'll be available for photo ops. This flash is really getting to me though:

Wow, Echo you picked a nice floor. Mom can't get over how good Shyla looks...she's not skinny anymore. And the floor does compliment her very well. I wonder what Ammy's complimentary peanut would have to say about that.

Woo Woo Echo! New floors! They look nice and cool. What would the humans do without us to inspect things for them?
Hugs,
Sitka
Hi-Woo Echo,
Your new floor looks nice & cool to sleep on. Our daddy is the fixer-upper/home remodeler in the family. When he does something on mommy's 'honey-do' list we get blocked out of the room sos he could finish without our helpfulness. We only want to give him a paw to help!
Til next time,
-Cosmos-
I wonder if Zim's friend Adrill was there to help? Our mommy & daddy redid our whole upstares bathroom last summer, including the tile floor. It looks especially good now with our fur and mud from our paws getting into the floor grout. hee hee
Kelsey Ann - Thanks! Mom likes it cause she has to actually look for the dirt! HAROOO! And yes, our Shyla has gained over 10 lbs.
Sitka - I know. We're the best inspectors aren't we? I really don't know how they would manage without our expertise.
Cosmos - Yep. We love to help too. When Dad put the cabinets in Meeka crawled in behind them right next to Dad to help him get them straight.
G&S - Nope. Adrill wasn't here for the floor however he was supposed to come tomorrow BUT the stupid ahhhhning factory goofed up the order. I hope they told Adrill!
Humans are so silly. If they let you help it would be done faster! But it was nice of the floor guy to make a speed bump for you!
Wow, great floor! We have new kitchen flooring to put in here too. But, after putting in the family room flooring, the humans are taking a break for a few weeks. Did you use ceramic or the ceramic looking laminate? My humans got the ceramic looking laminate for our kitchen.
Shyla looks very nice on it, and it does match her fur very nicely!

The floor looks great, but they should've let you help. I think it doesn't have enough husky hair on it yet.
Hey Echo,
I tagged you on my blog!
That floor looks great! Mom says we're getting a new floor like that soon and it's going to be the color of dirt. That just happens to be one of my favorite colors.

Shyla totally matches the new floor! I hope she doesn't get stepped on because no one can see her!
